Inmate dies in Saskatchewan Penitentiary

Brandon Lupkoski died on Nov. 28. CSC didn't specify how he died. 

PRINCE ALBERT – An inmate has died while in custody at Saskatchewan Penitentiary.

Correctional Service Canada said that Brandon Lupkoski died on Nov. 28. CSC didn't specify how he died. 

Lupkosk was serving a three year, eight-month and 19 day sentence since Feb. 25 for breaking and entering with intent to commit, discharging a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order.

As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, CSC will review the circumstances. CSC policy requires that the police and the coroner be notified.
