Update: P.A. RCMP arrest man for aggravated assault and armed robbery

Durwin Cook of Prince Albert is wanted in connection with an incident on New Year’s Day

PRINCE ALBERT – Update Jan. 10: On Jan. 9, Durwin Cook was located and arrested in Prince Albert.

He was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Jan. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Background Jan. 4: Prince Albert RCMP are searching for a man wanted for aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Police have issued a warrant for 52-year-old Durwin Cook of Prince Albert who has been charged in connection with an incident on New Year’s Day. According to RCMP, they received a call at about 9 p.m. on Jan. 1 for a report of an assault at an RV park south of Prince Albert.

The police investigation determined that two men were involved in an altercation. Cook allegedly assaulted a man and stole his vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital with injuries that are described as serious but non-life-threatening.The RCMP has since located the stolen vehicle and are now searching for Cook.

Cook is described as approximately 5-foot-9, 155 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
