SASKATOON - A man was arrested for weapons charges after police noticed a stolen vehicle Sunday morning in Saskatoon.
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 6, police observed a vehicle that had been reported stolen at the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue R South.
Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the man in the driver’s seat was arrested without incident. Upon search of the vehicle, a loaded sawed-off shotgun was recovered.
As a result, a 43-year-old man is facing numerous weapon- and firearm-related charges, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
