TISDALE—The Town of Tisdale has announced that they will be closing the final RECplex services that haven’t had a closure previously announced, in an effort to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
“We’re closing the rink, taking the ice out at the end of this week, and the curling rink ice out,” said Brad Hvidston, Tisdale’s administrator, on March 18. “Basically as of Friday, the whole RECplex facility will be closed.”
On March 16, both Melfort and Nipawin closed their main offices to the public.
Hvidston said the Tisdale town office will remain open until further notice.
“If we start seeing cases in the community, or start seeing concern for the employees, then we’ll make that decision. As of right now we’re going to be open.”
