According to The Weather Network, several communities throughout the Northwest are under a tornado watch for Tuesday afternoon. There have been reports of a funnel cloud spotted north of the Sifto Salt Plant in Unity earlier this afternoon.

The list of local communities under a watch include: the Battlefords, Unity, Maidstone, St. Walburg, Mervin, Spruce Lake, Glaslyn, Medstead, Waseca, Edam, Vawn, Paynton, Meota, Rabbit Lake, Marsden, Neilburg, Baldwinton, Delmas, Sweetgrass Res., Cut Knife, Speers, Richard, Maymont, Denholm, Wilkie, Cando and Landis.

There were sightings of funnel clouds and tornadoes Friday near Luseland, Kerrobert, Unity, Wilkie, Biggar, Milden, Perdue, Asquith, Delisle, Borden and Saskatoon.
