CARROT RIVER — The Carrot River Outback Thunder will start the new year with new leaders in place.
The team announced on Jan. 3 that former Tri-Town Thunder player Luke Folk has been hired as the team's new head coach. Brennan Hall has been tabbed as the team's general manager. Hall has been an intern with the Western Hockey League's Saskatoon Blades this season. He has been active in coaching and being the general manager for provincial ball hockey teams.
Earlier this season head coach Trevor Logan, who was in his third year with the squad, stepped away from his coaching duties to focus more on his general manager tasks and his family. Assistant coach Rob Holoien took over leading the bench before being hired as an assistant coach for the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
