The Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association season is in the books following the conclusion of this weekend’s CPCA Finals event in Lloydminster.
In the CPCA Finals Dash on Sunday, the Canadian championship went to Logan Gorst, with outriders Logan Pethick and Wyatt Dyck.
Running for PWM Steel, Gorst’s Meadow Lake wagon finished the final heat with a winning time of 1:23.74. Ryan Baptiste finished second for Mosquito Economic Development/Sunchild Law at 1:24.19 while Jamie Laboucane fell to third for Davco Welding at 1:24.37, after taking a one second penalty for a false start. Todd Baptiste for SORE Oilfield Services finished fourth at 1:29.59.
The final aggregate standings for the entire CPCA season saw Todd Baptiste finish on top with 1022.5. Jamie Laboucane was second with 1008, Ryan Baptiste third at 998.5 and Logan Gorst fourth at 990.5. Todd Baptiste was also the aggregate winner of the Lloydminster event.
