On Saturday, February 8, 2025, Mr. Larry Ernest of Island Lake passed away in the Battleford Union Hospital at the age of 67 years.
Larry was born on Thursday, March 21, 1957, to the late Louie and late Alice. Larry was a happy, loving and caring person. When you crossed his path, he made sure to always smile and wave.
Larry enjoyed being outdoors. He would take long walks that led him to Makwa Saghaiehcan, where he spent days visiting family and friends. He enjoyed his tea, while watching his western movies and reading People Magazine. Larry had the biggest smile when he would hear the laughter of kids and he would always gift them with a bag of toys. Larry will be forever remembered for his contagious smile.
Larry is survived by his Daughter Lorena; 5 Grandchildren; Brothers John and Finton (Claudia); Sisters Lorna (Larry), Selina, Sylvia (Greg), Velma (Melvin), and Valerie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many relatives.
He was predeceased by his Parents Louie (2001) and Alice (2008); Sisters Lorraine, Linda (1999) and Nora (2007); Brothers Brian and Donald (2022); Nieces and Nephews David (1975), Lenny (1983), Gloria (1999), Josephine (1997), Perry (2008), Marlon (2021), Maria (2021), Luke (2023) and Lyle (2022); Grandparents Daniel and Florence (1989) Crookedneck and Joseph and Josephine Ernest; Uncles James, Peter, Tony, William, Francis, and Bruno; Aunties Harriet, Minnie, Selina, and Roseanne.
A Wake will be held at the Ministikwan Band Hall on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, starting at 2:00 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the Ministikwan Band Hall.
