Doris Beriault: June 26, 1949 – December 28, 2024
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandma and daughter, Doris Ann Beriault. She passed peacefully at the age of 75. Doris is lovingly remembered by her daughters Shaunessey (Jonathan) Rutten; Candace (Jason) Rissling; beloved granddaughters Juliet and Braelynn Rissling; mother Anne Bengert; sister Michelle (Jeff) LaRose; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her husband Larry Beriault in 2002; father Alois Bengert in 2012; and many other treasured relatives.
Doris was born June 26, 1949 to Alois and Anne Bengert. She grew up on the farm in Leipzig, SK and completed her schooling at the near by school. After high school, and a brief term as a Lab Assistant in Wilkie, SK, Doris headed to Saskatoon to take her Certified Combined Technician (now CLXT). Doris loved her job. She worked in Hinton and Willingdon, Alberta before returning to Saskatchewan and settling in Unity. Doris worked at the Unity Hospital for over 37 years. Unity is where Doris met Larry and they raised their two daughters.
Doris loved travelling, particularly with her daughters. She also often reminisced about her many travels. Doris also loved the Saskatchewan Roughriders and was proud to be at the 2013 Grey Cup. Doris spent the last few years dealing with various ailments. Our comfort is knowing she is not longer in pain and is reunited with many loved ones and friends.
A Funeral Service for Doris will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Unity, SK.
