The Assiniboia Aquarians is a summer speed swimming club. They train four days a week during June and July.

ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia Aquarians hosted their annual invitational swim meet on July 9. It was the first meet that the club has hosted since 2019 and was attended by over 90 out-of-town swimmers from 10 different clubs.

The Aquarians had 13 swimmers competing, including four who were participating in their first swim meet. The club had a great showing, with lots of first, second, and third wins in their races.

Radu Bumbac took home the gold medal for high point overall in the boys 13-14 category.

It’s a huge undertaking to put together a swim meet, with over 60 volunteers working before, during, and after the event. The Aquarians appreciate everyone who gave their time to help create an event for the youth in our community.

The Assiniboia Aquarians is a summer speed swimming club. They train four days a week during June and July. They attend between five to eight swim meets during the summer. All swimmers have recently competed at the semi-final swim meet held in Regina.
