Update: Semi driver injured in rollover in the southeast

Incident reportedly occurred three kilometres south of Stoughton on Highway 47.

STOUGHTON - Update: A semi driver was injured Sunday in a rollover that occurred in southeast Saskatchewan.

According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, on Sept. 1 at approximately 8 a.m., members of the Weyburn-Fillmore RCMP received a report of a semi rollover on Highway 47 south of Stoughton. Officers and other emergency crews immediately responded.

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline reported the rollover was three kilometres south of the town. 

The RCMP says the driver of the semi was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.

Highway 47 was closed until the early afternoon as the semi was removed from the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
