ESTEVAN - Estevan Police Service members arrested and charged two individuals in separate impaired driving investigations on March 25.
Results from blood samples obtained at the time of driving were returned and showed illicit drugs present in each of the samples. Both motorists were subsequently released with future court dates to speak to the charges.
That same day, police attended to a two-vehicle collision which resulted in both vehicles being towed from the scene. EMS attended to check on the individuals but the Estevan police said no serious injuries were reported. An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
Members attended to keep the peace between two individuals involved in an argument. The dispute was mediated and no further action was required.
The EPS's Police and Crisis Team conducted a well-being check on March 24. A friend was concerned for the subject's health and couldn't make contact on their own. The individual was located at home and was found to be healthy and well.
EPS patrol members and representatives from CIBC, Scotiabank, Affinity Credit Union and the Royal Bank participated in a fraud awareness presentation at Trinity Lutheran Church. The program had approximately 80 people attending to learn about local trends and ways to protect themselves from becoming a victim of a scam.
Multiple compliance checks were conducted on individuals in the community that are bound by court-ordered conditions. All were found to be in compliance.
