ESTEVAN — After several snowstorms and blizzards, Estevan turned towards spring later in April. The city celebrated the return of several bigger events and enjoyed many sports tournaments and activities.
The Sacred Heart School/École Sacré Coeur Crusaders' Skills Academy wrapped up its first season April 1 with a demonstration at Affinity Place. The students who were part of the hockey program participated in drills and demonstrations of their abilities, and then played an exhibition game versus some of their parents.

Later that day, the contributions of many of the legion's members were celebrated during the awards night.
