ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia and District Arts Council will celebrate their 40th year as an arts council this year. There will be many opportunities and exhibitions available for viewing, sponsored by the Arts Council, throughout the year.

More details about these events will follow.

Unfortunately, the Mistletoe Art and Craft Sale will not be running this year. Hopefully, next year, the Arts Council will be able to showcase arts and crafts again for residents to enjoy and buy.

They will still sell raffle tickets on the always-popular Mistletoe Basket raffle. It is the one fundraiser of the Arts Council for the year. Tickets will be available at the Shurniak Art Gallery, and online, once it is ready for viewing.

More information will be in next month’s newsletter and through the Assiniboia and District Arts Council website.

Local residents that want to help be part of their group to bring art experiences to the community are encouraged to attend regular meetings of the Arts Council. They welcome new members.
