ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service apprehended an impaired driver on Friday.

Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a suspected intoxicated person driving away from a local establishment. After further investigation, a 20-year-old Estevan man was charged for impaired operation/exceeding .08. 

His first court appearance has been set for October.

Also on Friday, police responded to two separate reports of a vehicle collisions. The first report was between two vehicles but it was determined that no collision actually occurred. The second report was a single vehicle experiencing vehicle equipment issues. No injuries or property damage occurred in either incident.

A complaint of an assault was reported to police. The matter remains under investigation.

Members responded to a local establishment after a report of an unwanted person had entered after being banned. The subject had left prior to police arrival. The matter remains under investigation with charges pending.
