A GoFundMe campaign has been started to support a Bienfait family who lost their home to a fire last month.
In the write-up for the campaign, it was noted that the fire struck the Willis family home on April 29. Although the fire was extinguished before the entire house burned to the ground, everything from their clothes to furniture has been ruined by smoke damage or water, leaving only pictures and a few other items for the family.
Brendon, Samantha and their two daughters, ages eight and five, are now forced to start over, in the midst of this pandemic. Unfortunately the family didn’t have insurance on their home or their belongings.
“I know that everyone is struggling and money is tight but if anyone had anything, be it a hot meal, or some clothes, toys, books, hygienic items, furniture, or even a prayer, that would be greatly appreciated,” wrote Kourtney Keays in the campaign write-up. “And if you can spare a few dollars to help this family get back on their feet, that would be appreciated as well.”
As of Thursday morning, the campaign had raised $3,840 of its $10,000 goal. Fifty-one donations had been made.
