OUTRAM - One person is dead following a rollover that occurred west of Estevan on Friday afternoon.
The Estevan RCMP received a report at about 1 p.m. of a single-vehicle rollover involving a fuel truck on Highway 18 near Oungre. Officers immediately responded, along with the Estevan Fire Rescue Service and Estevan EMS.
STARS Air Ambulance also reported it was dispatched to a scene-call emergency near Outram on Friday afternoon.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was declared dead at the scene by EMS. He has been identified as a 60-year-old man from Montmartre. His family has been notified.
The affected portion of Highway 18 was closed for several hours while police responded.
The Estevan RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
