REGINA — Regina police have charged four people after an incident on Wednesday that left one man injured with a gunshot wound

Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Rae Street on the evening of Feb. 2 for reports of a man in a vehicle allegedly with a firearm. A second dispatch call alerted police to a pair of individuals sheltering in a home a few blocks away, one reportedly with a gunshot wound.

The two were identified as victims of an incident, and a 42-year-old male was taken to hospital with critical injuries related to a gunshot wound. He remains in care at this time. A 30-year-old woman was also identified, appearing to have been in a physical altercation.

Investigation led police to stop a suspect vehicle several hours later near Badham Boulevard and Broad Street, where five people were arrested.

Four of those individuals were later charged in connection with the incident, and the fifth released.
