Update: Vehicle identified, help still needed id'ing suspect

ESTEVAN — Police updated the information about the incident that occurred in Estevan Sunday morning.

The vehicle was stolen from a local gas station and was towing an ice shack. The vehicle was located a short time later as it lost control and the ice shack rolled. Police through investigation, determined the individuals responsible for the theft drove up to the gas station in what they believed to be a stolen auto from Pilot Butte. 

Police have since learned that the vehicle has been involved in a number of incidents in Weyburn in the afternoon. With the assistance of the Weyburn Police Service, they have further received better photos of the suspects from the Estevan theft and are asking the public to assist in identifying individuals responsible.

Anyone who has any information related to the incident is asked to contact EPS at 306-634-4767.

Police remind the public to be diligent in securing your vehicle to prevent crimes of opportunity.  Do not leave your vehicle running unattended as it only takes moments for it to go missing.  Further police ask that the public report suspicious vehicles.

Estevan police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individual and/or vehicle.

Pictures, published by the EPS on their social media Sunday afternoon, are related to the theft of an auto from a south-end gas station. The theft occurred Sunday morning.
