An Estevan golfer recently won a tournament in North Dakota.

MINOT, N.D. - Estevan's Chase Gedak has added to his list of golf accolades.

Gedak, who is a junior for the Minot State University Beavers men's golf team, won the individual men's competition at the Marauders Fall Invitational golf tournament, played at Hawktree Golf Club in Bismarck, N.D., on Oct. 2 and 3.

Shooting 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday, Gedak won the men's title by two shots. He finished at 1-under 143 (73-70) for the 36-hole event.

"So happy for Chase, am really honoured to be a part of his first collegiate win," Minot State coach Eli Mihalick said in a news release. "Great kid, extremely hard worker, and we have gotten everything we could have asked for and more since we brought him in. Just a lot of consistently good golf this weekend."

Gedak graduated from the Estevan Comprehensive School in 2020. He won numerous provincial titles at the junior and high school levels when growing up in Estevan.

In the fall of 2019, he was the top high school golfer in the province and helped Team South East win the provincial title at a tournament held at the TS&M Woodlawn Golf Course.
