Special Olympics bowler qualifies for 2024 nationals

Robin Stelter qualified for Nationals at the 2023 Special Olympics Saskatchewan Five-pin Bowling Provincials.

WEYBURN - Special Olympics Saskatchewan announced the athletes that will be going to the Special Olympics Canada Winter Games in Calgary, to be held on February 26 to March 3, 2024, including Weyburn’s very own Robin Stelter.

She earned her spot on a five-pin bowling team. Her team is made up of athletes from Humboldt, Muenster and Swift Current.

She qualified for Nationals on March 4 and 5 at the 2023 Special Olympics Saskatchewan Five-pin Bowling Provincials that was held in Regina.

Robin will be fundraising in the coming months to help her raise the $750 she needs to go to Nationals in Calgary. She will be coached by her Special Olympics coach, Jo-Ann Paxman of Weyburn.

The Special Olympics Saskatchewan team will consist of eight different sports, and include 48 athletes, 21 coaches, and seven mission staff.
