WEYBURN – A group of girls with the Weyburn and Estevan Artistic Swimming clubs held a four-day training camp at the Weyburn Leisure Centre’s outdoor pool.
They were training for the Saskatchewan Winter games in February, to be held in Regina.
These girls from Weyburn and Estevan combined to make the Southeast Connections Artistic Swimming team.
The training camp was held as a choreography camp to learn the routine and get a jump start on the season. The teams had a solo and duet from each community as well training with them.
The regular season training will kick off in September and run through until April.
The members of the team shown here include, in the row at back, Payton Caldwell, Marley Kradovill, Avery Wilson, Lily Popescu and Ava Allen; Haley Copeland, Ella Leko and Sasha Mantei are in the second row.
Avery and Lily are training as a duet, while the rest of the girls are in the photos of the larger group who were practicing.
