An employee at the Legacy Co-op Palliser Way gas bar in Yorkton has been confirmed for COVID-19. The employee, who reported symptoms and entered self-isolation last week, received confirmation on Sept. 30.

An employee at the Legacy Co-op Palliser Way gas bar in Yorkton has been confirmed for COVID-19. The employee, who reported symptoms and entered self-isolation last week, received confirmation on Sept. 30.

 

The result is that the location is open for self-serve and pay at the pump only. Deep cleaning procedures were continued, and other team members who were in contact with the employee were directed to self-isolate.

 

In a release, the Legacy Co-op stated that they continue to encourage employees to seek testing and self-isolate if they experience symptoms. They also stated that they are remaining diligent in maintianing social distancing standards for employees and customers.

 

“We understand the impacts of COVID-19, which is why we want to be transparent and disclose broad details about the confirmed cases like this one while ensuring the confidentiality of our employees,” said general manager Bruce Thurston in a release.
