Public asked to help solve suspicious fire

SASKATOON — The Saskatoon Police Service is requesting the public’s help in identifying an individual who may have information about a suspicious fire at a business last June.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., on June 2, SPS officers and Saskatoon Fire Department crews responded to a fire inside a business in a mall located in the 2300 block of Preston Avenue.

The fire was initially determined to be suspicious and further investigation deemed it to be arson.

Investigators are seeking public assistance in identifying an individual they believe may have information that can assist the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information on this incident, or who can identify the individual, to contact SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
