Red Apple Stores unveiled its newly-renovated store in Canora on June 1, at the previous Bargain Shop location at 310 Main Street.
Customers received a free laundry baskets and the first 100 were given $10 shopping cards.
Lynne Ross, district manager, said the grand opening was a huge success.
“By 9:15 a.m. all $10 gift cards had been handed out and by 10 a.m. a total of 203 Laundry baskets were given out,” said Ross.
“The community of Canora came out and supported their local store. We had at least 120 people lined up before opening the doors at 9 a.m. and the store crowd died down around 11 a.m. The second rush started around noon and continued into the afternoon.”
