Update: Saskatoon Police make arrest in bear spray incident at high school

Police say one suspect had a firearm.

Update: The Saskatoon Police Service has made an arrest in connection to a firearm incident that occurred on Monday. On Wednesday morning, at around 9 a.m., a 16-year-old boy turned himself in at SPS Headquarters. He was arrested and faces charges of pointing a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of conditions, and several other firearm-related offenses.

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police are searching for suspects following an incident involving bear spray and a firearm at a Saskatoon high school today.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., Oct. 24, police were called to the school. It was reported that bear spray had been sprayed and one suspect was in possession of a firearm before they fled the scene. A male victim suffered from the effects of the spray.

Motorists and residents in the area will notice an increased police presence as the search continues, however, there is not believed to be a risk to public safety.
