The family of Shirley Anthony announces her passing with sadness, but also with thanks to God for the life of a wonderful wife; mother, baba, daughter, sister and good friend. Shirley passed away with her family in her heart on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in her home in Yorkton, SK. She has gone home to be with her Lord, her Mother, Stella, two brothers, David and Donnie and one sister, Tracy. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, twin in life and best friend, Alexander "Al"; her sons, Jason (Vanessa) and their children, Ethan and Blake, Sheldon (Melissa) and their children Elionna, Vaulten, Sylvrienna and Vikandyr, Brent (Alissa) and their children, Hayden and Carter and Derek (Jenn) and their children, Braelynn and Kayson; her father, Emil Dudar; her brothers, Dennis, Lawrence, Brian, Gordon, Darryl and Larry and sisters, Maryanne and Carol as well as their loving spouses and families. Also left to mourn Shirley's passing are her parents-in-law, Alexander Sr. and Cynthia Anthony, sisters-in-law, Lori and Marci, their spouses and families as well as many other relatives and good friends. Shirley was born in Ethelbert, MB on September 5, 1958. She received her education in Ethelbert where she met her twin in life, Al Anthony. They were married in 1976 and enjoyed more than 40 years together, having great experiences travelling with family and friends. Shirley was a daycare provider and had the ability to work with children over a period of thirty-five years. She loved gardening and was always so very organized that her peers called her "Queenie." Shirley's family is grateful to all their friends and family members, for all your prayers and your many acts of kindness during this difficult time. We share the guiding light of our guardian angel with all of you. A Celebration of Shirley's Life was held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home in Yorkton, SK officiated by Shirley's brother, Brian Dudar. A poetic tribute was shared by her granddaughter, Hayden Anthony. A prayer for Shirley's family and the Lord's Prayer were led by her sister, Maryanne Swicki. Family and friends were invited to share their memories of Shirley during the service. Her family shared a power point presentation of Shirley's life in photos. The Honourary Pallbearers were her brothers, Dennis Dudar, Lawrence Dudar, Gordon Dudar, Brian Dudar, Darryl Dudar and Larry Dudar and her son, Jason Anthony was the urn bearer. A private family cremation committal will take place in Shirley's home town, Ethelbert, MB at a later date. To honour Shirley's many years as a day care provider, the family has chosen to forward her memorial donations to the Ethelbert Community Playground in Ethelbert, MB.
