At the age of 70 years, Robert (Bob) Harold Engel passed away suddenly at his residence in Canora, SK on October 12, 2016. Bob was born July 13, 1946 to Gotlieb and Ellie (Alstadt) Engel in Moose Jaw, SK. For many years, Bob worked as a truck driver which allowed him to see much of Canada, the United States and even Mexico. He always had many interesting stories of his travels to share with family and friends. In October 2015, Bob retired to Canora, SK. He continued to share his stories and greatly enjoyed visits with the friends he met with at the Co-op garage for morning coffee. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Gotlieb and Ellie; brothers: Elmer, Wilbert and Arnold and his sisters: Ruth Hernden, Violet Schmidt and Velma Renard. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Paul) Iseke of St. Albert, AB; son, Jason Engel of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren: Tyson Iseke, Brittany Iseke and Caitlin (Curt) Iseke-Hugo and great-grandchildren: Farrah Iseke and Myla Hugo; two brothers, Allan (Grace) of Kelowna, BC and Melvin of Seattle, USA and his sister, Grace Wiks of Saskatoon, SK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As per Bob's wishes, a formal service was not held. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary as tokens of remembrance in memory of Bob Engel.
