Brian Rindall beloved husband of Louise Rindall of Yorkton, formerly of Gillam, MB passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 71. Wifred Brian Rindall, the eldest child of Martin and Edith Rindall, was born on March 11, 1942 in Glenella, MB. Brian attended Sargent Park School in Winnipeg, MBwhere he developed a passion for working with his hands to express his numerous talents. Upon completing his schooling, Brian began his carpentryapprenticeship, all of which led to successful career as a master carpenter for over thirty eight with Manitoba Hydro at the Kettle Generating Station. As a young man, Brian actively enjoyed playing baseball, hockey, bass guitar and was an extremely competitive individual.Healsowas a very passionate musician. It was this passion that led to the meeting of his true love, Louise. They became inseparable from that very moment and on May 7, 1966, Brian married Louise Jane Dowson and their union grew with the birth of their three children, Brian Paul, Shelley and Lori. In 1967, Brian, began his career in Gillam, Manitoba. Initially, he worked withKettle Construction, then Nelson River Construction, next for Peter Leech and finally at the Kettle Generating Station with Manitoba Hydro as a mastercarpenter. While living in Gillam, Brian led a rounded life. Brian applied his craftsmanship when building their family cabin at Stevens Lake (Shady Nook) where together, countless days were spent enjoying each other's company and visits fromtheirmany friends in the beauty that is uniquely Northern Manitoba. Within the community, Brian ensured that his neighbours remained safe and sound as he was a Canadian Ranger, under the Canadian Armed Forces, and a member of the Kettle Fire Crew. Everybody knew that if they needed anything, Brian would always be there. He was also a faithful member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #245 for over 35 years. Brian retired in December, 2005, from the Kettle Generating Station, and together, he and Louise moved to Yorkton, SK. Together, they attended their grandson's Raider football games, never missed an opportunity to watch the Yorkton Terriers play hockey and during the summer cheer ontheirYorkton Cardinals baseball team. Brianalso never missed a Yorkton rodeo, horse or car race and he loved to visit Yorkton's Livestock Yard. He also continued working with his hands landscaping and building. Brian and Louise also became active members of Yorkton's Farmer's Market. Brian quickly became known once again as a man who could be counted on at any moment, no matter the need. He also became famous for his beef jerky,sauerkraut, pickled eggs, relishes and pickles. One could definitely say that Brian's days werealways full, be that tinkering in the garage, working around the yard or getting his goods ready for the next market. That being said, Brian would always take time to make someone smile and laugh with a great story and lend a meticulous hand if needed, as only a master builder could. Brian leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, Louise, his wife of 47 years and their three children, Brian Paul (Michelle) of Saskatoon, Shelley (Tom) of Yorkton, and Lori (Terry) of Lac Du Bonnet, MB. Two brothers; Barry (Yvonne) and Kenny (Barb), and his sister, Debbie, all of Winnipeg, MB. He is also fondly remembered byhissevengrandchildren; Kaylie, Jaden, Dustin, Dillon, Jolene, Crystal, Bridget; his great grandson Julian; and his dog Bo. Brian will also be remembered by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their families; aswell as, numerousfriends and neighbours. A visitation for family and friends was held on Thursday, January 2, 2014. Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey B.Th, Certified Celebrant officiating. Tributes and words of remembrance were given by Brian's brother, Barry, friend, Owen Chase, friends Tom Mamela on behalf of Kevin Young, nephew, Bruce Mitchell and children, Brian Paul, Shelley and Lori. Soloist, Jodi Kozan assisted by organist, Amanda Buhler sang Amazing Grace and Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Casketbearers were Jolene, Crystal and Bridget Shoup, Jaden and Kaylie Rindall, Dustin and Dillon Chase and Dylan Baer. A family committal service will follow.
