ONION LAKE — Onion Lake RCMP are renewing their request for members of the public to report sightings of Merle Wolfe, or information about his whereabouts, so they can locate him and ensure he is safe and well.
Police first issued an appeal to the public for their help in locating a 34-year-old man from the Onion Lake Cree Nation on April 26.
Merle Wolfe was reported missing by family members on April 8, and was last spoken with on April 17. Onion Lake RCMP believe he is in the Edmonton area.
"Since Merle was reported missing, Onion Lake RCMP have been conducting neighbourhood inquiries, investigating areas where Merle is known to visit, and following-up on any information that may assist with locating Merle and bringing him home," said RCMP in a media release. "Police are concerned for Merle’s well-being and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him."
Wolfe is five foot nine and 170 pounds. He has a small scar on the bridge of his nose, and one in each eyebrow.
