Saskatoon city bus driver assaulted by two youth

SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating after a bus driver was assaulted by two male youths on a city bus Monday.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on May 27, police received a call about an assault on a city transit bus in the 200 Block of Fairmont Drive. Further updates stated Medavie Health Services West was transporting the victim to hospital. Shortly after, police responded to the St. Pauls Hospital where the victim was taken.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, a 55-year-old male bus driver, who explained he was assaulted by two youth males. Both suspects fled the scene.

Police continue to investigate and anyone with information that may assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police at 306-975-8300 or submit a tip anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
