Two dead in collision near North Battleford

The driver and passenger of one of two vehicles that collided were both declared deceased by EMS at the scene.

THE BATTLEFORDS - Two people are dead and another injured after a collision near North Battleford.

On Nov. 22, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 4, approximately eight kilometres north of North Battleford.

Officers responded along with local fire and EMS to find that a car and truck had collided.

The driver and passenger of the car were both declared deceased by EMS at the scene. They have been identified as a 35-year-old male from North Battleford and a 35-year-old female from Douglas. Their families have been notified.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening.

Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
