WEYBURN - The boards of education of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division and the South East Cornerstone Public School Division have approved the 2025-26 school year calendar. Their decision is subject to approval by the Ministry of Education, based on compliance with Education Act regulations.

Calendars must ensure that a minimum of 950 hours of instructional time is provided to all students. These legislative and regulatory amendments were implemented to ensure there is a consistent minimum amount of instruction time.

The first day of classes is slated for Sept. 2, which is after the Labour Day long weekend.

The last day of classes before the Christmas break will be Dec. 19, and the first day back in 2026 will be Jan. 5.

There will be a winter break from Feb. 16-20 (which includes Family Day), and a spring break will run from April 6-10, following the Good Friday/Easter Sunday long weekend.

The final day of classes is June 26.
