EPS to team with banks for information session on scams

ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service (EPS), in conjunction with representatives from several local banking institutions, will host an information session on recent scams and frauds in southeast Saskatchewan. 

The session is scheduled to take place March 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estevan.

Topics on the agenda include scams through e-mails, text messages, third party gift cards, fake identity romance, false investments and people purporting to be with the Canada Revenue Agency. EPS officers and bank representatives will provide information on current trends and how the public can safeguard and protect themselves from being victimized by a scam.

There is no cost to attend and the session is open to anyone interested in learning more.
