Man accused in connection with Oxbow woman's death back in court

Tyler Shaw's next court appearance is set for Nov. 4.

ESTEVAN - Tyler Neil Shaw's case was back in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday. The matter was adjourned to Nov. 4 to be spoken to.

Shaw, who hails from Gainsborough, is charged with one count of accessory after the fact to murder, in connection with the death of Briana Hayes in Oxbow in April.

The co-accused in the case, Taylor Japp of Oxbow, is charged with second-degree murder. He will return to court in Carlyle for a preliminary hearing in June 2025. Japp has been released with conditions.

The charges have not been proven in court.
