Regina police requesting help solving Boxing Day armed robbery

Regina police are investigating a robbery on Boxing Day involving a firearm and theft of a vehicle.

REGINA — The Regina Police Service is asking for the public’s help investigating an armed robbery of a vehicle that took place on Sunday.

On Dec. 26 at approximately 3 a.m., RPS responded to a call of an armed robbery involving a firearm on the 4500 block of 2nd Avenue North. 

Upon arrival, police were told that at around 2:20 a.m., the adult male victim parked his car on the 1000 block of Garnet street and was approached by another unknown adult male who was carrying a long-arm firearm.

The victim said he exited his vehicle and the suspect allegedly demanded he hand over his belongings, before leaving in the victim's vehicle.

The vehicle was later located by police abandoned on the 700 block of Athol Street.

Regina police said the suspect is described as male, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall, with a thin build. He was wearing all black, a black leather jacket, a large black backpack and white shoes.
