Saskatoon Police charge two men with drug trafficking

Police seized 99.4 grams of crack cocaine, $9,770 cash, shotgun ammunition, 40 packs of illicit cigarettes, and four cellular devices.

SASKATOON - The Saskatoon Police Service Crime Reduction Team arrested two men following an investigation.

The CRT seized 99.4 grams of crack cocaine, $9,770 cash, shotgun ammunition, 40 packs of illicit cigarettes, and four cellular devices.

On Oct. 21 at around 1:45 p.m., officers arrested a 24-year-old man suspected of trafficking cocaine, in a parking lot near the intersection of 8th Street East and Grosvenor Avenue.

He was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Then at around 4:30 p.m., a 25-year-old man was also arrested in the 2400 block of Louise Street. Search warrants were then executed on two residences; one in the 200 block of Emmeline Road, the other in the 1600 block of Preston Avenue South.

He was charged with possession of cocaine, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
