YORKTON - St. Paul's School in Yorkton is currently partaking in ‘Math Month’.

Students, from Kindergarten through Grade 8 are taking part in weekly family games, ongoing daily trivia and an ongoing online math challenge in an effort to promote and support numeracy outcomes.

The current leader of the school online challenge has answered more than 5,000 questions in only one week.

Questions must be answered correctly and from the student's Grade level (+ or - one year).

Each classroom's leader on January 29th will be entered to win a Botley 2.0 Coding Robot that will be announced at the school’s Family Math Night on Jan. 30. On that evening, families will rotate through various stations which provide games and fun learning opportunities of numeracy outcomes.

St. Paul's School had held an annual ‘One School, One Book’ project for the past 16 years, but shifted gears last year towards a focus on math.

The project has been well-received and the plan is to continue with Math Month annually.
