ESTEVAN - A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in a second-degree murder case in Estevan.
The person charged in the alleged homicide, Gurwinder Singh Toor, appeared in Estevan Provincial Court twice last week, on Dec. 20 and 23. During the latter appearance, it was determined that the preliminary hearing would occur on July 25-27, 2022.
Toor has been remanded into custody.
He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Angelo Galido, who was located deceased in his Estevan residence on June 7.
Toor, also of Estevan, was arrested nine days later in Calgary.
Toor and Galido were known to each other.
The charge has not been proven in court.
It was the first homicide to occur in Estevan since April 2014.
