A member of the Regina Police Service (RPS) is facing one charge of Breach of Trust and one charge of Unauthorized Use of a Computer as a result of an investigation by the RPS.

On Feb. 20 at approximately 5:20 p.m., La Loche RCMP executed two search warrants, one at a residence in La Loche and one at a rural residence outside of La Loche.

Nika Okemow, 31, is currently wanted on outstanding warrants out of the Prince Albert Police Service for charges of robbery with firearms, using a firearm while forcibly confining an individual, breach of a release order, and failure to attend court.

Following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Serious Assault Unit, two women, ages 30 and 32, and a 21-year-old man are charged with unlawful confinement (x2), robbery (x2), and aggravated assault.

At approximately 1 a.m., March 12, patrol officers were travelling on Avenue P near Rusholme Road when they observed a vehicle stop in the middle of the road, prompting a traffic stop to check the driver’s sobriety.

In January 2025, members of the Regina Police Service Crime Reduction Team began an investigation involving one individual who was believed to be trafficking drugs from a home in the 1300 block of King Street.

J.J. (Jonathon) Poitras is wanted for multiple breaches of his conditional sentence order.

CUPE says police responses from 911 calls are delayed because there aren’t enough dispatchers to answer and coordinate responses.
